Our Story

Thank you for choosing AJ’s! We are a family-owned & operated oil field service company based in the historic town of El Dorado. Our family legacy in the oil business is currently in its 5th consecutive generation in Butler County, Kansas. Here’s our story:

THE PAST

ceCharles Edward

"CE" FOR SHORT

CE was originally employed by the local railroad. In the 1920s he changed careers and began working for Cities Service in the El Dorado oil patch. He retired in the 1940s.

CE'S SON

Ray began working for Cities Service in 1927, at the age of 18. Ray spent his whole working life there and retired with honor in the 1960s for his career-long faithful service.

THE PRESENT

RAY'S SON

Don grew up working every summer with his dad in the oil patch. After he served our country in the Korean war,
Don hired on at Cities Service in the 1950s . A few years later, Don opened an oil field chemical supply company in El Dorado and eventually purchased and operated his own oil production.

DON'S SON

John worked for his dad’s chemical supply company as a young man during the 1970s. John then founded Jonathan
Oil Copmany in the 1980s and continued to operate oil field service companies during the 1980s and 1990s.

THE FUTURE

JOHN'S SONS

Jonathan and Andy grew up working every summer on rig crews with their dad during the 1990s. Together, John & Andy established AJ’s Services in 2004. Jonathan joined the company in 2007.

 

Continuing a Family Legacy

Since the beginning, AJ’s Services has been blessed. We have grown into a thriving, service-based company with a well-established reputation for prompt service, quality work, faith and core family values. We hire only honest, hardworking employees who are dedicated to putting our customers’ needs first – and always doing it with a good attitude.

With nearly 100 years of consecutive family experience in the oil field, we are ready, willing and able to serve your needs!
